There are a few new and exciting changes happening with Lindsay Angel Photography.  As you can see, it’s been a few months since I’ve updated my Photo Blog.  I’ve been in the process of making some changes to my overall site design.

On August 30, 2009, I went to see the Phillies vs. Braves baseball game at Citizens Bank Park.  A friend of mine came through with last minute tickets, and invited me to go.  I love sports–and I love Philly professional sports teams even more. I’m a native “Philadelphian”.  When it comes to the Phillies, there is one thing that will haunt me forever.  I missed seeing the Phillies clinch the World Series title in 2008.  I was living in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Words can’t really explain how homesick I felt; after watching clips of the infamous Broad Street parade on the internet.  Needless to say, I jumped on the opportunity to get back to the ballpark to watch a game this year.

Moving on, this particular regular season game happened to feel like a playoff game.  It was a sold out crowd at Citizen’s Bank Park; and was the last game of three, in the Phils weekend match-up against the Atlanta Braves.   Phillies pitcher Joe Blanton pitched a strong seven innings; but it wasn’t until Carlos Ruiz broke a 1-1 tie with a two-run double to left, turning it over to a Phillies lead at the end of the seventh.  The Phillies won the game (3-2); and secured their 7.5 game lead in the wild card race.

As for my images, I only have a few.  I wasn’t equipped with the appropriate lens to capture any sort of decent shots of the players.  Although, I was able to grab a few photographs of the Phillie Phanatic engaging the fans (as the game intensified towards the end.)  I also included an image I captured from the parking lot, of the beautiful sunset-painted sky as we were walking into the ballpark.

Towards the end of August, I took a few days “off” and headed to the Jersey Shore.  After spending almost my entire summer indoors due to an illness; I was ready to enjoy some sun, sand, and sea!  Nothing beats the shore and the pure bliss it brings to everyone there.  It was far from a wild vacation, but I did get the opportunity to spend some quality time with family.  Sure enough, I came home with about 200 images.  I figured I would post a few of them in a blog.  Enjoy!

Thursday’s events continued on into the evening. I went over to Cavanaugh’s Riverdeckthat night, for the Bikini Contest. I was too wrapped up in the actual contest to snap photos of the girls in their bikinis (Sorry, guys.) But I was able to grab some candids throughout the night; capturing some funny moments. Again, I handed over my camera for a couple of shots; so I could jump in and say cheese.

Thursday was a blast.  My day started with a trip to the CBS Radio Studios in Philadelphia.  Thanks to Quimby and The Green Legion; I joined three other fabulous females, for guest spot on Sports Radio 610 WIP’s Morning Show with Angelo Cataldi.  We were there to help promote a Green Legion-sponsored Bikini Contest happening later that night.  Naturally, I brought my camera along with me to capture some memorable images.  As you will see, I handed it over for a few shots as well — so I could jump in!

Last weekend the majority of my time was spent at Lehigh University in Behlehem, PA, for the Philadelphia Eagles training camp. I was there taking fan photos for The Green Legion. The Green Legion is the largest traveling fan club in the country. I highly suggest you check out the website–that is, if you’re a Birds fan. While I was roaming around looking for people who were willingly ready to smile and pose for a picture that was guaranteed to go on the internet; I was also able to capture images of the players, and watch the team drills. As a die-hard football fan, it was an incredible experience for me. I was quite surprised to see the masses of dedicated Eagles fans in attendance on Saturday. On Sunday, there was a decent crowd there as well, despite the rainy conditions. As for the team– the ridiculous amount of injuries and setbacks incurred was a little bit disconcerting. This type of thing is no big surprise for the Birds. It’s still early, and there’s always hope when you’re an Eagles fan…

Not really much to say here, I had some free  time and it was one of the few nice weather days we had this summer so I grabbed my camera and just snapped some photos of some flowers. It was such a nice day even the bee in the photos didn’t mind me being there getting in his business.
